Stop At: Exit Glacier Road, Kenai Fjords National Park, AK 99664

This is where your Glacier Hiking Adventure takes place. The hike up the mountain is approximately 1.5 miles, with 1,500 feet of elevation gain - this is the most physically exerting part of the trip. This is the part of the trip that requires the overall rating to be Strenuous.

8-Hour Tour:
The 8-hour tour departs at 8:00am and returns at 4:00pm. The whole tour will last about 8 hours in total, with the possibility of spending upwards of 2 to 4 hours on the ice! The "ice-time" all depends on how long the hike up the mountains takes as a group. We do not rush any part of this trip, and the group will move together at a comfortable pace.

*The 8-hr tour offers a more relaxed/flexible pace with more rest breaks, if needed.

Duration: 8 hours

We did the 8 hour exit glacier tour guided by Jesse and Kyle. It was an amazing experience and could not have asked for better guides! We felt very safe and most of all, had a ton of fun. Definitely an adventure for the books. ✌️

Awesome experience. Jonathan is a very skillful guide. This was our first time wearing crampons and he was very helpful and patient towards us. Highly recommend it to anyone who seeks some adventure during their stay at Seward.

Our trek on Exit Glacier was probably one of the best hikes we’ve ever done. It was gorgeous and such an incredible experience to explore a glacier. Our super knowledgeable (history and environmental science!) guide Jonathan is someone we'd definitely call again to lead a trip/excursion. The tour company was also wonderful - picking us up in town where we are staying and dropping us off again at the end of the day.

Our Exit Glacier hike was certainly a highlight to our trip in Seward. Our guide Jesse was well equipped and very knowledgeable of Alaska. I’d recommend to anyone who can hike 5-7 miles with a decent steady ascent. It was not as hard as we were expecting.

This was one of the highlights of our trip to Alaska! My kids (age 10, 13, 15) will share this memory for years to come. Walking on ice in crampons was a 1st for us, but our guides Jonathan and Kaleb were so helpful and fun! I would definitely recommend this for someone who is up for a spectacular adventure and is in good enough shape to hike all day!

The guides were great. Very patient and hugely informative. The time out on the Glacier was surreal and gives you a whole new appreciation of nature.

This was a real adventure of a lifetime! Our guides were fantastic- knowledgeable, helpful, patient and enthusiastic. They were great with our 12 and 15 year olds, as well as the adults in the group. We were not very experienced but had fun and felt safe!

Without a doubt, the highlight of my Alaska trip. **Note, this is a STRENUOUS hike, so be ready. Definitely a workout, but so worth it. The views are fantastic, and it's a great feeling getting up to the glacier. Lunch up there is just the cherry on top. Jonathan was a great guide. If you're going do one tour in or around the Kenai Fjords area, do this one. Just make sure you're well rested!

We had the most wonderful time! We did the Two Day Bears Adventure with Jesse in Lake Clark and the Exit Glacier Ice Hiking Adventure with Jonathan. Both trips were absolutely amazing!! Visiting all the National Parks is on our bucket list, and Lake Clark is a bit of a challenge, but we were really excited to get to go with KBA. We saw so many bears in Lake Clark, and Jesse guided us on how to approach the bears respectfully and carefully so that they (and we) felt safe. The food was delicious, and the trip was very peaceful, rain notwithstanding. We hiked Exit Glacier the next day with Jonathan, and he set a great pace so that we weren't exhausted on the trail but still had a good amount of time on the glacier. We saw a lot of features, drank fresh glacial water, and had a nice lunch on the ice before heading back. The two trips were very different, but both were amazing and I would totally do them again! Kyle and Deana were also both incredibly helpful getting us booked and helping us make adjustments as need be (and patient with our million questions!). I would absolutely travel with KBA again, and I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a wonderful time in the Lake Clark / Seward / Kenai Fjords area!
