About Spring Wildlife Cruise

Book Direct with the Owner at Spring Wildlife Cruise with Accommodation Missouri in Seward, for all your Attraction and travel needs.

Itinerary

Join us for our first cruise of the season as we search for gray whales on their incredible annual migration. Every year, gray whales migrate over 10,000 miles round-trip between Baja and the Bering and Chukchi Seas – the longest migration route of any mammal. These whales begin migrating north in late February and arrive in Alaska in the spring, spending the summer feeding in shallow Arctic waters before migrating south in mid-October. They deliver their calves in the warm, protected lagoons off the coast of Baja in the winter.

Our Spring Wildlife Cruise takes you through Resurrection Bay to the edge of the Gulf of Alaska in search of our returning visitors. In addition to gray whales, watch for Steller sea lions, sea otters, Dall’s porpoises, harbor seals, bald eagles, and other whales including humpbacks and orcas. Occasionally, you will see mountain goats with their newly born kids and black bears foraging along the coastline of Resurrection Bay. Our tour is fully narrated by our experienced captains and naturalist crew members.

The views were amazing! I was disappointed with how little wildlife we did see though. We did the 3.5 hour cruise and I was bored after 2 hours.

The crew and captain were very courteous and helpful. The cruise was a bit long for my granddaughter who is 5 years old. But overall we had a wonderful time and would highly recommend it. Thank You, Susan and Jo

The captain gave great commentary, the employees were kind and helpful, and we saw many different types of wildlife. We saw bald eagles, sea lions, harbor seals, otters, and orcas. Unfortunately there were no gray whales out, but the beautiful day more than made up for it. Loved supporting the local tourism in Seward on our first trip to Alaska!

Because of a glitch in our air travel we were not able to make necessary changes in our car rental in Anchorage. Their answer was All Car Rental Lots have been SOLD OUT. No car available we had to cancel our entire trip. Gray Whale Cruise company was notified and our cruise was also canceled two days before our scheduled cruise. Disappointing!

Crew was amazing. The captain did everything in their power to let us see as much as we could. Also, so impressive docking a boat that size! Made it look easy.

No joke, taking this boat tour was probably the best decision I made on my trip to Alaska. I loved everything about it - the view, the boat, good vibes, the amount of customers (social distancing), and the guides (special shout out to Capt. Gary). I highly recommend people try this out. It’s worth the money and it’s FOUR hours (!!!). We experienced GORGEOUS scenery, saw whales, other sea mammals, birds, mountain goats, and bald eagles! Do yourself a favor and take this trip. My only recommendation is book in advance. Thank you to the crew and the owners, you all are great!!!

Let me start by saying we did not see any whales, but still so worth it! The captain was great at finding wildlife and the scenery was amazing! I highly recommend this trip!

It was a cold and snowy day, but we still had a great time!! We saw sea otters, sea lions, porpoises, birds, and orcas. Along with tons of beautiful scenery. They had delicious drinks at the bar and everyone was so nice. Highly recommend.
